Which Smartphone To Buy?

Hello again dearest friends,

I've been getting a lot of questions and opinions about the smartphone of which one to buy. Yeah, I know some people have a really tight budgets and in a same time they also want to get updated with the latest gadget. And of course, new gadgets, HIGH PRICE . There are several brands that we're familiar enough in smartphone world like APPLE, SAMSUNG, NOKIA, MOTOROLA, HTC and many other more brands.

We also realize that these brands are offering a really good specifications, design, color, and so much more. But how about the pricing? A famous brand are good, but some of the company markup the prices of these smartphone and finally the prices went really high and some of it turn to be unreasonable. My opinion, try to look and search for a good specifications and reasonable price. Lately, company from China rising up to offer a really cheap and budget with a really powerful specifications in additions to compete with these existing famous brands.

But, some of us kind of doubting and hesitated because they are not really confident with the brand as the brands are actually newly established. It's a typical human thinking. There are several brands from China that offering a real good price and specifications that actually beats other famous brand products, like XIAOMI, OPPO, ONEPLUS, LENOVO, HUAWEI, MEIZU, VIVO, ZTE and so much more. And of course, in LOW and AFFORDABLE PRICES. These are actually brands that really demanded now in Malaysia. Even myself, using one of these brand now and satisfied.

For a newbie that looks for a smartphone now, these are now be a standard specifications that people use these days.
  • CPU : Quadcore/Octacore overclocked to 1.5GHz or above
  • Ram : should be 2GB or above to suit for these days games and apps.
  • Internal Memory : at least 16GB or above.
  • Camera : Front will be 5MP and back 13MP, for a better view of picture. This are of course optional if you guys have a DSLR or any digital camera.
  • Resolutions : Screen resolutions also important for a better viewing during taking picture or displaying a video, 720 x 1280 pixels should be enough or better if there is more higher.
  • Screen size : It is actually depend on you guys, for my hands, I prefer a big one. 5.2 inches should be able to be hold by most hand sizes.
  • Battery : Battery is always important in smartphone. Battery these days should be 3000mAh or above for longer time usage.

There are also some other things that most people ( which is more to newbie) afraid that the quality, warranty and authenticity of the smartphone, is not that reliable as the branded smartphone. I can't denied it, that now days many seller are now taking advantages selling their cheap, broken or clone that looks like just the same as the original one. Well, it is actually depends on which place that you buy, and of course it's better if the place that you want to buy the smartphone have a recommendations from your friends or someone that you know.

To make it more perfect, buy the phone at their official center to avoid any of the problems just now.

Well, here some tips for those who wants to buy the second hand smartphone:
  • Most important, if you love your money, please meet the seller in person. Just to make sure everything is all in perfect shape.
  • If you wish the item to be shipped, please be make sure that you have a middle man to look for the item first before you decided to bank in the money to the seller, and the middle man of course should be someone that you know.
  • Ask for negotiations and final price, also ask what package will be included when buying the phone.
  • Warranty, if possible ask the seller to give the phone's iMEI number to check warranty via online. You can check here : imei.info to see the warranty and also the authenticity of the phone.
  • Battery, check the battery if it's accessible and see whether it got damaged or not.
  • Bring along your Sim card and external SD card for testing.
  • If there is any power source, try to charge the phone, if you don't have try to use the power bank.
  • If you buying an iPhone or iPad, please be make sure that the old owner signing out his old Apple ID before selling it, otherwise you can't use the phone.
  • Reset everything inside the phone, so that it won't clash anything with your current information or data.
  • Bring enough money. LOL :P
